  3. Yes,these say summer for sure. Wish I knew what those red / maroon flowers were. Could be phlox maybe. What is the bird (heron?) in the 8th photo down from the top standing on? It sure isn’t a rock.

    • Thanks for the comment! I believe that all the flowers that are red to maroon are dianthus. There are a few other species in the mix, but they are either blue or yellow. The flowers are the “lawn” or the trucking company next door to the apartment complex, a lawn done right if you ask me.

      I’m not positive what the heron was perched on, I think that it is an old pump/filter in the rain water retention pond that used to spray a fountain to keep the water in the pond from going stagnant. I know that it has been there for years now whatever it is.
